How to measure a bench

Measure the length and depth of the seat. If the bench sits between walls or has arms, measure inside them at both the front and the back. Note any cut-outs around legs or posts so we can shape the cushion around them.

Choosing the foam

• High Density: medium feel for everyday seats, benches and sofas
• Lux foam: firm, best for dining seats 1–3″ thick and heavy daily use
• Super Soft: soft, for back cushions only, never seats
• Dacron wrap (add-on): a softer, rounder edge for sofa and window seat cushions

Indoor fabrics

Choose from Warwick upholstery (Australian, made for indoor furniture), velvet, Warwick faux leather and Sunbrella for homes with kids, pets or sun-filled rooms. Not sure about a color? Order swatches first.

Questions about indoor bench cushions

What is the best fabric for a mudroom bench?

Sunbrella and faux leather wipe clean and cope with damp coats and boots. Choose a darker color for a busy entryway.

How thick should a bench cushion be?

2″ to 3″ suits most benches. Built-in benches with a high seat can take a thicker cushion.

Can I get a long bench cushion in one piece?

Yes, up to the size of a single foam sheet. Long benches can also be split into two or three cushions that sit end to end.
