Leather cushions age differently from anything else in your living room. Well-made leather cushions look even better after five years, with deeper color and a softer touch. 

At FabricaKraft, we use full-grain hides for our genuine leather sofa cushions; this grade of leather develops a real patina, while bonded or split leather tends to peel. Our cushions fit standard sofas, sectionals, club chairs, and statement armchairs. You can also order leather cushion covers to update your cushions while keeping your existing foam inserts. And we offer custom foam inserts for your cushions too. 

If you own a custom frame, vintage piece, or antique seat that doesn’t match modern sizes, we can make leather seat cushions to fit those exact measurements. Send us your frame’s dimensions or photos, and our business & design team will be happy to give you a quote. For bulk orders, you can request samples before you place the final order. 

Our leather cushions are designed for indoor use and can be used outdoors, weather permitting. For uncovered patios or rooms with high humidity, we recommend the luxury Ultraleather cushion covers, which look like leather but offer much better UV and moisture resistance.

What kind of leather is used in FabricaKraft leather cushions? + −

All our leather cushions use full-grain leather, which is the top layer of the hide and keeps the natural grain. Over time, full-grain leather develops a soft patina and lasts much longer than split or bonded leather. Each cushion will have its own unique grain and color variations, which is normal for real leather and sets it apart from synthetic options.

Are leather cushions suitable for outdoor use? + −

Genuine leather cushions are best for indoor use or fully covered outdoor spaces like screened porches. Sunlight, rain, and high humidity can dry out the leather and shorten its life. For outdoor use, Ultraleather looks similar but handles sunlight, moisture, and wear much better.

Can leather cushions be made in custom sizes for non-standard sofas? + −

Yes, we have standard sizes for most sofas and can also make custom leather cushions for unique frames, vintage sofas, and antique chairs, or any furniture you own. Send us your seat depth, width, and back height, and we’ll give you a quote for your custom cushion.

How do I care for genuine leather cushions? + −

Wipe your cushions with a dry cloth each week to remove dust. Apply leather conditioner two or three times a year to keep the leather soft. Keep cushions out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources like radiators, since these can dry out the leather. If you spill something, blot it instead of rubbing.

Are leather cushion covers removable for cleaning? + −

Most of our leather cushions have covers that are fixed to the foam to keep their shape and value. If you need removable covers for a specific project, let us know when you request a quote, and we’ll check if we can make that adjustment for you.
