How to measure a banquette

Measure each run of the seat separately: length, depth and the angle where two runs meet. For a back cushion, measure from the seat to where you want the top of the cushion. For an L-shape, tell us which way the corner turns, or order an L-shaped cushion in one piece.

Choosing the foam

  • High Density: medium feel for everyday seats, benches and sofas
  • Lux foam: firm, best for dining seats 1–3″ thick and heavy daily use
  • Super Soft: soft, for back cushions only, never seats
  • Dacron wrap (add-on): a softer, rounder edge for sofa and window seat cushions

Indoor fabrics

Choose from Warwick upholstery (Australian, made for indoor furniture), velvet, Warwick faux leather and Sunbrella for homes with kids, pets or sun-filled rooms. Not sure about a color? Order swatches first.

Questions about banquette cushions

What is the best fabric for a kitchen banquette?

Faux leather and Sunbrella are the easiest to wipe clean. Warwick upholstery is softer to the touch and suits dining nooks that are used more gently.

Should a corner banquette cushion be one piece or two?

Two pieces are easier to remove and clean and fit lift-up storage lids. One L-shaped piece looks seamless and does not shift.

How thick should banquette seat cushions be?

2″ to 3″ keeps the seat at a comfortable height for most dining tables. Check the gap between the seat and the table first.
