- Indoor fabrics such as Warwick, outdoor Sunbrella, and sheers
- Optional 100% blackout and privacy lining for indoor and outdoor panels

Where pinch pleat drapes work best
- Living and dining rooms, where you want a tailored, finished look
- Bedrooms and media rooms, paired with blackout lining
- Sliding glass doors and wide windows, on rings or a traverse rod so they open smoothly
- Hotels and restaurants, where every room needs the same clean line
How to measure for pinch pleat curtains
- Measure the width of your rod or track.
- Multiply it by 2 for fullness and split the total across your panels. For example, a 60″ rod needs about 120″ of curtain, so two 60″ panels.
- Measure the drop from where the hook or ring sits down to where you want the curtain to end: sill, below the sill, or floor.

Questions about pinch pleat curtains
How wide should pinch pleat curtains be?
Plan panels that together cover about twice your rod or track width. The extra fabric is what forms the pleats, so the curtains look full when closed.
Can I get blackout pinch pleat curtains?
Yes. Add the 100% blackout and privacy lining to any indoor or outdoor panel. It is not offered on sheers, since it would block the light they are meant to let through. See all custom blackout curtains.
Do you make pinch pleat sheer curtains?
Yes. Choose a sheer fabric in the builder. Our Warwick Antigua, Patio, Syros and Taormina sheers are about 126″ wide, so even wide panels have no joins.
Can pinch pleat curtains go outdoors?
Yes. Choose Sunbrella for porches, pergolas and cabanas. It is solution-dyed, so it resists fading and mildew.
Pinch pleat or tab top: which should I choose?
Pinch pleats look tailored and formal, and stack neatly when open. Tab top and rod pocket curtains are more relaxed and slide straight onto a rod.
What do pinch pleat curtains hang from?
Pinch pleat curtains hang from rings on a decorative rod or from hooks on a traverse rod or track, rather than sliding over the rod itself.
How long do custom pinch pleat curtains take?
Each pair is made to order in 2–3 weeks, plus free US shipping. Custom curtains can't be returned, so send us a photo of your window if you'd like us to check your measurements first.
