Dutailier Glider Replacement Cushions

Dutailier glider frames are made to rock for decades, so it is common to keep one through a second child or pass it down. The cushions are the part that gives out first. We make new seat, back and ottoman cushions to the size of your glider, with washable zippered covers.

Fit

What we make for Dutailier gliders

Seat cushions, including the curved front edge many gliders have
Tall back cushions, made as one piece or split into head and lumbar sections
Gliding ottoman cushions
Arm pads from a paper template
Covers only, if your foam is still in good shape
Nursery

Built for a nursery chair

A nursery glider gets long, slow use at night and frequent spills. That is why every cover we make has a zipper: take it off and wash it, rather than spot-cleaning foam. Sunbrella fabrics are a good choice here because they are made to be cleaned with mild soap and, for tougher stains, a diluted bleach solution.

Shape

Glider backs are rarely rectangles

Many Dutailier backs curve at the top or narrow toward the seat. Trace the old back cushion on paper, mark where the ties sit, and send a photo of the template with your order. We cut to the outline rather than to a box.

Measuring

How to measure a Dutailier glider

Seat: width at the front, width at the back, depth and thickness.
Back: height, width at the top and bottom, and thickness at the lumbar.
Ties: note the position of each tie and which frame rail it wraps around.
Ottoman: length, width and thickness of the top cushion.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these official Dutailier cushions?

No. Fabrica Kraft makes custom cushions to your measurements so they fit your Dutailier glider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Dutailier.

Can I wash the covers?

Yes. Every cover has a zipper so it comes off the foam. Follow the care instructions for the fabric you choose.

Do you make arm pads?

Yes, from a paper template of the old pad. Email care@fabricakraft.com with a photo.

My glider uses snaps, not ties. Can you match that?

Ties in matching fabric are our standard and Velcro is available on request. Tell us how your frame attaches and we will confirm what fits before we cut.

Which foam is most comfortable for long feeds?

Most parents choose HD36-R in the seat for medium support and Super Soft in the back. Lux-R suits anyone who wants a firmer seat.

How long does it take?

Standard shapes ship in 2–3 weeks. Custom shapes made from a template take 5–6 weeks.
