Custom Boat Cushions - Sunbrella Horizon Marine Vinyl
Custom boat cushions for bow seats, cockpit benches, helm seats, sun pads and cabin berths, made to your boat's exact shape in Sunbrella Horizon marine-grade vinyl. Horizon is built for salt, sun and spray, and pairs with Dry Fast foam that drains water through the cushion so it dries fast after a wave or a wash-down.
How to measure
- Make a paper or cardboard template of each seat and mark the bow-facing side.
- Measure each straight edge and the thickness you want; 3" to 4" is typical for seats.
- Note snaps, cutouts for cleats or cup holders, and hinged lids.
- Send photos of the template with a tape measure in frame along with your quote.
Fabric
Pick from 19 popular Sunbrella Horizon marine vinyl colors above. Want a different color? We stock all Horizon colors: browse the full range and name it in your quote notes.
Foam and fill options
All foam is made in the USA and covered by a 3-year warranty.
- High Density foam: medium feel for everyday seating. 2.8 lb/ft³ density, 35 lb ILD, about 16-year life.
- Luxury foam: firm, best for dining seats 1″ to 3″ thick. 2.8 lb/ft³, 50 lb ILD, about 16-year life.
- Dry Fast foam: open-cell foam that drains water, best for outdoor and marine use. 1.8 lb/ft³, 60 lb ILD, 5–8 year life.
- Super Soft foam: for back cushions only. 1.2 lb/ft³, 12 lb ILD.
- Dacron wrap: a 1″ polyester fiber layer around the foam for a fuller, rounded look. Do not reduce your measurements for it.

Questions
Can you make sun pads for my boat?
Yes. Send the outline of the deck area and we make a sun pad in one or more sections.
Is Horizon vinyl better than fabric for a boat?
For seats that get wet and salty, yes. Horizon wipes clean and resists mildew and UV.
Do you add snaps?
Add snap locations in the quote notes, or we can leave tabs for you to fit snaps on board.
