Gazebo Curtains
Most hardtop and wooden gazebos have a beam or track on every side, which makes them easy to curtain. The hard part is size: kit curtains come in a few fixed widths and often fade within a season. Made-to-measure solution-dyed panels fit the opening and keep their color.
How to measure a gazebo for curtains
- Width: measure each side between the corner posts. Gazebos are often not perfectly square, so measure every side.
- Fullness: plan panels that together cover about 1.5–2× that width, usually two panels per side so they part in the middle or tie back to the posts.
- Drop: measure from the top of the rod or track down to the floor at both ends, and order about ½–1″ shorter so the hem clears the deck.
- Heading: if your gazebo has a built-in track with hooks, tell us the hook spacing. For rods, choose tab top, back tab or rod pocket.
Choosing a fabric
- Sunbrella: 155 solids and stripes plus 15 sheers, the most fade-resistant option.
- Agora: 89 colors from Spain, about 25% below Sunbrella.
- Sheers for shade while keeping the view; blackout lining on solids for full privacy.
Questions about gazebo curtains
Can I replace the curtains that came with my gazebo kit?
Yes. Measure each side and the drop, note how the old curtains hang (hooks, rings or a rod), and we'll make replacement panels to fit.
How many curtains does a gazebo need?
A square gazebo usually needs eight panels, two per side. A hexagonal or octagonal gazebo needs one or two per side, depending on width.
Do gazebo curtains need to be waterproof?
Under a hard roof, water-repellent fabric like Sunbrella is enough. If you need full rain protection on the sides, a clear vinyl enclosure is the better tool. See are outdoor curtains waterproof?
How do I stop gazebo curtains blowing in the wind?
Tie them back to the posts when open, and on windy sites choose a heavier canvas or a lined panel.
How long do they take?
Sunbrella and Agora gazebo curtains are made in 2–3 weeks. Warwick Outdoor is a pre-order and ships in 6–8 weeks.
