Did You Miss Sunbrella Vision Collection? Five Fabric Ranges Are Now Available as Custom Cushions Made to Order
On this page
Sunbrella's new Vision collection arrived this spring, and it is now available at Fabrica Kraft as made-to-order custom cushions. It offers 33 fabrics built around soft stripes and textured solids.
For designers, hospitality staff, and property owners, the Vision collection provides a more subdued option compared to bold prints. The fabrics give seating a sense of depth and texture while maintaining the durability that Sunbrella customers expect.
The blog describes the five Vision ranges, explains how the fabric performs when exposed to water and sunlight, and shows you how to convert it into cushions that fit your seating perfectly. It also includes information on choosing colors, taking measurements, and placing an order.
What is the Sunbrella Vision collection?
Sunbrella Vision is a collection of 33 performance fabrics built around two ideas: simple stripes and textured solids. The surfaces carry gentle comfort, small knit-style patterns, and vertical lines that guide the eye.
The solids have a nubby, hand-woven look in a single rich tone, while the stripes keep a steady, even rhythm. Together they add texture and interest without relying on a bold print.
Vision fabrics are made from 100% Sunbrella acrylic, the same fabric behind our full range of Sunbrella Cushions, built for the sun, rain, and daily use that Sunbrella is known for. The collection suits outdoor and indoor seating, so one fabric can carry a look from the patio into the sunroom.
What are the five Sunbrella Vision fabric ranges?
Vision is organized into five ranges, and each has its own look and feel. You can browse every fabric in the Sunbrella Vision Collection.
1. Costa is the classic stripe, with timeless colors and a steady, balanced rhythm.
2. Aveiro is a classic stripe built on the same quality as Sunbrella's Lopi fabrics.
3. Aroma is a textured stripe made with the thickest yarn in the collection, which gives it an artisan feel.
4. Lumy is a small textured solid with a micro-square pattern.
5. Flavour is a textured solid with a thick yarn, a bulky look, and a very soft touch, with bright colors balanced by neutrals.
Aroma and Flavour are designed as a pair, since Sunbrella made Flavour as the plain match for the Aroma stripe. Costa is the most flexible stripe, because Sunbrella says it pairs easily with its other fabrics.
When was Sunbrella Vision launched?
Sunbrella's European team announced on March 31, 2026 that it would unveil Vision at Salone del Mobile, the international design fair held in Milan from April 21 to 26 (Sunbrella's announcement). Sunbrella describes Vision as a capsule collection that complements its existing ranges.
All 33 Vision fabrics are now available at Fabrica Kraft, and each one can be ordered as a custom cushion cut to your own measurements.
Is Sunbrella Vision fabric waterproof?

Vision fabric is water-repellent rather than waterproof. It has a water-repellent, stain-resistant finish that is non-PFAS, which means it resists water but does not make a cushion fully waterproof. A cushion left in standing water or heavy rain for a long time can still soak through, so allow it to dry after a storm.
The color is built into the fiber. Sunbrella uses solution-dyed acrylic, which adds color before the fiber is spun so it runs through the whole yarn, and that is why the fabric is fade-, mildew-, and stain-resistant.
If your seats stay wet, such as poolside or boat seating, waterproof fabrics are the better choice. Fabrica Kraft offers the Sunbrella Horizon Marine Vinyl collection, made in waterproof fabrics for these spots.
Which Sunbrella Vision stripe works best for patio seating?

Vision offers three stripes, and the best choice depends on the look you want. Costa is a contemporary take on the classic stripe, while Aroma uses a thick yarn that adds volume and texture to the pattern.
Sunbrella Aroma Nutmeg Cushion is an artisanal stripe made with the thickest yarn in the collection. It is a warm brown stripe with cream and black details, and the stripe repeats about every 10 inches, which helps when you plan how the lines will sit across a seat.
Nutmeg pairs well with dark wood and leather-look accents, so it suits a lounge, a covered porch, or a restaurant terrace with warm tones. It can be made as a cushion in your exact size or ordered as a cover only.
Which Sunbrella Vision solid suits a garden patio?
The textured solids, Flavour and Lumy, are the quieter side of Vision. They add appeal through texture rather than pattern, so a single color still has depth.
Sunbrella Flavour Vetyver Cushion is a muted sage green with a textured look. It blends with gardens, teak, and stone, so it sits comfortably beside plants and natural materials instead of competing with them.
That makes it a good fit for a garden patio, a resort courtyard, or a client's backyard where the planting is already the star. Like every Vision fabric, it can be made as a cushion, a cover only, or a pillow.
How do you pair striped and solid outdoor cushions?
Mixing a stripe with a solid is the simplest way to get a designed look from Vision, and the ranges are made to work together. Follow these steps for a balanced result:
1. Choose a stripe for the main seat cushions, such as one from the Aroma range.
2. Add a Flavour solid in a calm tone for the back cushions and pillows, matched to a color already in the stripe.
3. Keep to one bright accent, such as Sunbrella Flavour Mandarin Cushion, a soft, juicy orange with a textured surface that brings cheerful color to white or natural frames.
This keeps the pattern in one place and lets the solids carry the rest of the color, so the seating feels coordinated instead of busy.
How long do Sunbrella outdoor cushions last?
It depends on two parts: the fabric and the foam inside it, and each one wears at its own pace. Vision fabric is covered by a 5-year Sunbrella warranty.
The foam has its own lifespan. Dry Fast foam, the outdoor option, typically lasts five to eight years, and all Fabrica Kraft foam is made in the USA and covered by a 3-year warranty.
Because the fabric and the foam are separate parts, you can replace one without the other.
If the foam is still firm but the fabric looks tired, you can order a new cover only and refresh the look. Our guide, What Is Sunbrella Fabric? Everything Worth Knowing Before You Buy, explains how the fabric is made and why it holds up.
Can you get Sunbrella Vision fabric made into custom cushions?
Yes. Every Vision cushion is made to order, so you are not limited to stock sizes. You can ask for any shape, and every cushion comes with a zippered cover and your choice of foam.
Foam is chosen by how the seat is used:
1. Dry Fast foam for outdoor seating and wet areas, because it drains water quickly.
2. High Density foam for everyday seats, with a medium feel for regular to heavy use.
3. Super Soft foam for back cushions only, where a plush lean-back is the goal.
For a standard shape, the price you see is all-inclusive with free shipping. For an odd shape, such as an angled or curved seat, choose the unique shape option and send a paper template after you order.
Cushions are made in about two to three weeks, and the cover and foam may arrive in separate boxes a few days apart. You can see every option in the Custom Foam collection.
What types of outdoor cushions can be made in Sunbrella Vision?

Vision fabrics can be made into seat cushions, back cushions, and chaise lounge or Adirondack chair cushions, in any shape. If you already own foam in good condition, you can order a cover only and have it cut to fit.
The same fabric can also be made into pillows or bench cushions, which helps when a project calls for a matching set. Each Vision product page lets you choose what you are making before you enter your size.

How do you clean Sunbrella Vision cushions?

Vision is made from Sunbrella acrylic with a stain-resistant finish, so gentle, regular cleaning is the best way to keep the texture looking fresh. Hard scrubbing and harsh cleaners can shorten the life of the fabric, so always start with the mildest method.
For everyday care, brush off loose dirt with a soft-bristled brush, sponge, or towel, and use a vacuum for larger debris. When a spill happens, follow these steps:
1. Mix 1/4 cup of dishwashing liquid and 1/3 cup of white vinegar into 1 gallon of water.
2. Apply it with a soft-bristled brush or a spray bottle, and let it soak in for a few minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
4. Let the fabric air-dry for an hour or two before using the cushion again.
Cleaning a small mark soon after it happens makes it much easier to remove. Removable covers can also be hand-washed in a gallon of lukewarm water with 1/4 cup of soap, soaked for about 10 minutes, and rinsed well. Use bleach only when needed for mold or mildew, and always dilute it and rinse it out.
