Couch Cushion Foam Replacement, Cut to Size

Replacement foam for couch cushions, cut to your exact length, width and thickness so it fills your existing cover without gaps or bulges. It is the simplest way to bring flat sofa seats back to life, and it works just as well for a dining bench, a mudroom bench or a window seat pad. Pick High Density for everyday seating, Lux for a firmer feel, or Dry Fast for outdoor furniture. Add a Dacron wrap for a rounded, fuller look inside the cover. There is no minimum order, so a single cushion insert is fine.

Foam types explained

1. High Density foam: medium feel for seats, chairs and mattresses, for regular to heavy use. For dining seats of 1″ to 2″, Lux foam is a better fit.
2. Lux foam: firm, 1.8 lb density, 50 lb ILD, CertiPUR-US, typical life 5–8 years. Thicknesses of 1″ to 6″ are firm; 7″ to 8″ are extremely firm (or firm for body weights over 200 pounds). Recommended for dining seats 1″ to 3″.
3. Dry Fast foam: firm reticulated foam for outdoor furniture, patio cushions and boats. Drains water fast and is antimicrobial. 1.8 lb density, 60 lb ILD, typical life 5–8 years.
4. Super Soft foam: for sofa back cushions and mattress toppers, not for seats. 1.2 lb density, 12 lb ILD.
5. Dacron wrap: a polyester fibrefill wrap that adds about 1/4″ and a softer, rounder look without losing support. We apply it with fine upholstery staples that do not damage the foam or the cover.

How to measure and order

• Measure your old foam or the inside of the cover, and enter dimensions in inches.
• Dimensions between 1/4″ increments are rounded up to the nearest 1/4″.
• Do NOT reduce dimensions for the Dacron wrap; it gives a snug, sag-free fit as is.
• We email a spec sheet to approve before we cut.

Foam thickness and gluing

The biggest single-piece thickness we cut is 6″. Over 6″ up to 8″, two pieces of the same foam are glued together at no extra charge. For cushions over 8″ thick or with layers of different foam types, please contact us.

Delivery and warranty

We cut to within ±0.5″ of your measurements; outside that, we replace it free. Most orders ship in 2–3 weeks with free standard shipping. Foam carries a 3-year warranty.

Questions about couch cushion foam

What is the best foam for couch cushions?

For seats, High Density for a medium feel or Lux for firm support, with a Dacron wrap for a rounded look. Use Super Soft for back cushions only.

Should I replace the foam or the whole cushion?

If the cover is still in good shape, new foam is enough. Read replace foam or the whole cushion to decide.

Can I get foam thicker than 6 inches?

Yes, up to 8″ in the builder as two bonded pieces. Thicker foam is by quote.

Can I return foam if it feels too firm?

Foam cut to order cannot be swapped after delivery, so check the foam types above before you order.
