An outdoor daybed or a row of sun loungers is the centre of an Australian summer, and the cushion is what makes it comfortable. We make daybed mattresses, sun lounger cushions and pool lounge cushions to the exact size of your frame, in fade-resistant Sunbrella fabric with quick-dry foam, and ship complete cushions to anywhere in Australia.
What we make
- Outdoor daybed cushions and mattresses: one piece or split, with optional back and side bolsters
- Sun lounger and pool lounge cushions: flat or hinged where the backrest folds, with ties to stop them sliding
- Swing bed and hanging daybed cushions
- Round cushions for round daybeds and hanging chairs
- Outdoor throw cushions and bolsters to finish the look
Made for sun, pools and summer storms
- Sunbrella fabric resists fading in strong UV and resists mould and mildew. Covers zip off and are machine washable, with a 5-year fabric warranty from Sunbrella.
- Sunbrella Rain is waterproof, for daybeds that stay out through summer rain.
- Quick-dry reticulated foam drains water straight through, so cushions dry quickly after a storm or a swim. For Australian orders we use outdoor foam from Premier Group in Sydney.
- Thickness up to 8 inches, so a daybed can feel like a proper mattress. Thicker cushions are quoted on request.
How to measure a daybed or sun lounger
- Measure the inside of the frame, length and width, where the cushion will sit.
- For a sun lounger with a folding back, measure the full length laid flat, then from the top of the backrest down to the hinge.
- Note any cut-outs for posts or legs, and where you want ties.
- Odd shape? Send us a paper template after you order and we will match it.
Every cushion is made within ½ inch of your measurements, and there is no minimum order.
Ordering from Australia
- Made to order in 2–3 weeks, then shipped to your door. Rush production is available.
- Complete cushions ship to Australia, and covers ship anywhere.
- Foam arrives vacuum-packed and fully expands within 12–18 hours.
Common questions
What foam is best for an outdoor daybed?
Quick-dry reticulated foam if the daybed stays uncovered. For a covered verandah, a high-density seat foam gives a firmer, more mattress-like feel.
Can you make a daybed cushion in more than one piece?
Yes. Large daybeds are often split into two or three pieces, which are easier to lift, wash and store.
Do you make hotel and resort pool cushions?
Yes. See our page for hotels, resorts and short-term rentals.
