How do I measure a hinged chaise cushion?

Measure the seat length and the back length separately, then add them together for the total length. Note where the hinge falls.

What foam is best for a pool chaise?

Dry Fast quick-dry foam drains water straight through, so the cushion dries fast after rain or a swim.

Should I choose a one-piece or hinged chaise cushion?

Choose hinged if your chaise back reclines, so the cushion folds with it. A one-piece cushion suits flat chaises and daybed-style loungers.

Can I replace only the covers on my chaise cushions?

Yes. If the foam still holds its shape, order covers only made to your cushion's size.

Will Sunbrella chaise cushions fade by the pool?

Sunbrella is solution-dyed, so the color runs through the fiber and resists fading from sun and pool chemicals far better than printed fabrics.

Custom white chaise lounge cushions on poolside loungers

A chaise lounge cushion has to do two jobs: lie flat for sunbathing and bend when you sit up. We sew every custom Sunbrella chaise lounge cushion with a hinge seam where your lounger folds, so the cushion follows the frame instead of bunching at the backrest.

We make cushions for single and double chaises, pool loungers, teak and aluminum sun loungers, indoor chaise lounges and daybeds. Give us the full length, the width and the length of the back section, and we place the hinge to match. Multi-position loungers can have more than one hinge.

Pool decks are hard on fabric. Sunbrella is solution-dyed, so it resists fading from strong sun, and it can be cleaned with mild soap or a diluted bleach solution to remove sunscreen marks and mildew. Paired with Dry Fast foam, the cushion drains quickly after a swim or a storm.

Most pool loungers take a 2" to 3" cushion; indoor chaise lounges and deep daybeds often take 4" or more. You can add ties at the top and at the hinge to keep the cushion in place, and a matching headrest pillow.

How do I measure a chaise lounge? + −

Lay the chaise flat. Measure the full length and the width, then measure the back section from the top to the point where it folds. If the foot section folds too, measure it as well.

Can the cushion bend where my lounger folds? + −

Yes. We sew a hinge at the fold point you give us, or at each fold for multi-position loungers.

What thickness is best for a pool lounger? + −

2" to 3" Dry Fast foam is the most common choice for pool loungers. It is comfortable, drains water and does not make the lounger top-heavy.

Can I add a headrest or ties? + −

Yes. Ask for a headrest pillow or ties at the top and hinge in your quote notes.

Do you make double chaise cushions? + −

Yes. Send the full width and length of the double chaise and we make one wide cushion or two side-by-side cushions.
