Questions about Adirondack chair cushions
How do I measure an Adirondack chair for a cushion?
Measure the seat width at the front and at the back, since most Adirondack seats taper, and the seat depth from front edge to where the seat meets the back. Then measure the back height from that crease to the top, and the back width at the bottom and top. Our measuring guide walks through it.
Should I choose a one-piece cushion or a seat pad?
A one-piece seat-and-back cushion covers the slats completely and is the most comfortable for lounging. A seat pad alone is simpler, stores easily and suits chairs with a comfortable back already.
Do Adirondack cushions need ties?
We recommend them. Adirondack backs are steep, and ties at the top and the seat keep the cushion from sliding or blowing off.
Can Adirondack cushions stay outside?
Yes. With Sunbrella fabric and Dry Fast foam, water drains through and the cushion dries quickly. Storing cushions during long wet spells or winter will still extend their life.
Do you make cushions for POLYWOOD and other recycled-plastic Adirondack chairs?
Yes. We work from your measurements, so any brand or material of chair can be fitted.
