When the frame is sound but the seats have gone flat, replacement couch cushions are a simple fix. We make each cushion to your exact measurements, with no minimum order. Order one seat cushion or a full set for a sectional.

Start with the replacement couch cushion builder. For a sofa with wide arms, choose a T-shaped cushion. Keeping your covers? Order replacement foam cut to size. Keeping your foam? Order covers only. Add matching throw pillows and bolsters to finish the set.

How to measure a couch cushion

  • Unzip the old cover and measure the foam itself, not the cover. Covers stretch over time.
  • Measure width across the front, depth from front to back, and thickness.
  • Measure every cushion separately. Seats on the same sofa often differ by a little.
  • For a T-cushion, also measure the width at the back and the size of each side wing.
  • For back cushions, measure width, height and thickness.

Choosing foam and thickness

Standard thickness is 3″ to 5″, and we cut up to 8″. Need thicker? Email operation@fabricakraft.com for a quote. For everyday seats, choose High Density foam, which has a medium feel. Super Soft foam is for back cushions only, never seats. An optional 1″ Dacron wrap gives seats a softer, rounder edge, and fiber fill suits loose back cushions. All foam is CertiPUR-US certified and cut in the USA.

Fabrics for indoor sofas

Warwick upholstery is made for indoor furniture and is in stock. Velvet and faux leather give a different look. In a sunny room, Sunbrella is solution-dyed, so it resists fading, and it comes in 160+ colors. Gabriel and Ultraleather are ordered by quote and take 8–12 weeks. Piping is optional. Not sure of a color? Order swatches first.

Foam only, cover only, or both

Order the complete cushion, a zippered cover only, or foam only cut to size. Every cover has a zipper, so it comes off easily for cleaning.

Delivery and business orders

Replacement couch cushions ship in 2–3 weeks, with free shipping. Need them sooner? Rush production and express shipping are available at extra cost. Should I replace just the foam, just the cover, or the whole cushion? + −

If the fabric looks good but the seat has gone flat, order foam only. If the foam still holds its shape but the fabric is worn or faded, order covers only. If both are tired, order the complete cushion.

How do I measure a T-shaped sofa cushion? + −

Measure the foam, not the cover. Take the width across the front, the width at the back, the depth, and the size of each side wing. Then order a T-shaped cushion. If the shape is unusual, send a photo with a tape measure in the frame.

What thickness should my sofa seat cushions be? + −

Standard thickness is 3″ to 5″, and we cut up to 8″. The safest way to choose is to measure your current foam. Need something thicker than 8″? Email operation@fabricakraft.com for a quote.

Which foam is right for a sofa seat and which for the back? + −

Use High Density foam for seats. It has a medium feel and suits everyday use. Super Soft foam is only for back cushions, never seats. You can add a 1″ Dacron wrap for a softer edge, and loose back cushions can be filled with fiber.

Can you make cushions for my brand of sofa? + −

Most orders ship in 2–3 weeks with free shipping. Rush production and express shipping cost extra. Gabriel and Ultraleather are quoted and take 8–12 weeks. Custom products are not returnable, but our warranty covers workmanship for 2 years.
