Indoor Bench Cushions

A good bench cushion turns a hard seat into the place everyone sits to pull on boots, read or wait for dinner. We make indoor bench cushions to the exact length and depth of your bench, with no minimum order. That covers mudroom, entryway, kitchen, dining and end-of-bed benches.

Start with the bench cushion builder. Cushions for a bench in a bay can use the window seat cushion. Angled benches suit a trapezoid cushion, and corner benches an L-shaped cushion. Playing music? See piano bench cushions, or add throw pillows in the same fabric.

How to measure a bench

• Measure the length and depth of the seat surface, edge to edge.
• If the bench sits between walls or has arms, measure the inside space at both the front and the back.
• Note any cut-outs around legs, posts or corners, and send a photo or paper template if the shape is unusual.
• Very long bench? You can order it as two or three cushions that sit end to end.

Cushions are cut to within ±0.5″ of the size you order.

Choosing foam and thickness

Standard thickness is 3″ to 5″, and we cut up to 8″. For everyday benches, choose High Density foam, which has a medium feel. For a kitchen or dining bench with a thinner pad, Luxury foam is firm and stays supportive at 1″ to 3″. Add a 1″ Dacron wrap for a softer, rounder edge. Thicker than 8″ is available by quote at operation@fabricakraft.com. All foam is CertiPUR-US certified and cut in the USA.

Fabrics for indoor benches

Warwick is made for indoor furniture and is in stock. Velvet suits a bedroom bench, and faux leather suits an entryway. Sunbrella is solution-dyed and comes in 160+ colors. Ties in matching fabric are standard so the cushion stays put, and Velcro is available on request. We do not use non-slip backing. Order swatches to check colors in your own light.

Foam only, cover only, or both

Order the complete cushion, a zippered cover only, or foam only cut to size. Every cover has a zipper so it comes off for cleaning.
