How to measure
- Measure the seat from end to end (length) and from front to back (depth), in inches.
- For benches with arms, measure between the arms, not the outside of the frame.
- Choose thickness: 2″ for dining and piano benches, 3″ for everyday seating, 4″ for a plush garden bench.
- Note any notches for posts or rounded ends in the quote notes and we will cut to match.
Foam and fabric
- Lux seat foam: firm, 1.8 lb density, 50 lb ILD, CertiPUR-US, typical life 5–8 years. Best for dining seats 1″ to 3″ thick.
- High Density foam: medium feel for everyday seating and firmer indoor backs.
- Dry Fast foam: open-cell, antimicrobial foam that drains water, for outdoor and marine use. 1.8 lb, 60 lb ILD, 5–8 year life.
- Super Soft foam: back cushions only. 1.2 lb, 12 lb ILD.
- Dacron wrap: adds about 1/4″ for a softer, rounder look. Do not reduce your measurements for it.
- Fibre fill: soft polyester fill for loose back cushions.
All foam is made in the USA. Pick from 41 popular Sunbrella colours above, or name any of our 160+ Sunbrella fabrics from the full range in your quote notes. Sunbrella is solution-dyed acrylic that resists fading and mildew. Indoors, choose Warwick, velvet or faux leather.

- Enter your measurements in inches (rounded up to the nearest 1/4″), plus foam, thickness, piping and ties.
- We email a spec sheet to confirm price and specs before we cut anything.
Foam up to 6″ is one solid piece; 6″ to 8″ is two pieces bonded at no extra charge. For thicker or layered cushions, contact us.
Delivery and warranty
Most orders are made and dispatched in 2–3 weeks, with free standard shipping. Rush production and express shipping cost extra. Foam and covers may arrive in separate boxes. Warranty: 2 years on workmanship, 3 years on foam, 5 years on Sunbrella fabric.

Questions about bench cushions
What thickness is best for a dining bench?
2″ to 3″ Lux or High Density foam keeps you at table height and stays firm. Go 4″ only if the bench sits low.
Can I use this bench cushion outdoors?
Yes. Sunbrella fabric with Dry Fast foam lets rain drain through, so outdoor bench cushions can stay out on a garden or porch bench.
Will the cushion slide off?
Add matching fabric ties in the quote notes, or ask for Velcro. For built-in banquettes a snug fit usually holds it in place.
How long is the longest bench cushion you can make?
We make single cushions up to about 120″ long. Longer runs are split into two or more cushions that butt together.

Seat cushions
Measure the seat side to side and front to back, between arms if there are any. Round up to the nearest ¼″. For a tapered seat, measure the front and back widths.
Back cushions
Measure from the seat to where you want the cushion to stop. Width is usually the same as the seat.
Chaise and Adirondack
Measure the full length laid flat, then the back section from the top to the hinge point where the back rest bends.
Covers only
Measure your foam, not the old cover. We cut the cover to fit snugly.
Pillows
Order the cover the size of your insert. Our micro-fibre inserts are sized to fill the cover.
Curtains
Panel width: add the panels up to 1½–2× the opening. Length: from the rod (or top of the tab) to where the hem should land.

Back cushions: Super Soft for a plush lean-back or High density (HD36-R) for a firmer back indoors; Dryfast outdoors. Super Soft is not used for seats.
Cover only: every product can be ordered as just the cover, cut to your size.
Pillows: soft polyester micro-fibre insert, or cover only.
Dacron wrap: a polyester layer around the foam that rounds the edges and fills the cover. Single or double. All foam is made in the USA.

Do I save if I order more?
Yes. The more you order, the less each piece costs: 2+, 4+, 8+ and 16+ unlock lower prices, shown above the Add to cart button.
Can I order just the cover?
Yes. Choose “Cover only” and measure your foam.
Can I leave it outside?
Choose Outdoor: Sunbrella fabric with Dryfast foam, which drains and dries fast.
Is the price final?
Yes for standard shapes, with free shipping included. There is nothing more to pay on delivery: we pay all Canadian import duty and GST/HST. Unique shapes are confirmed once we have your template.
