Glider Rocker Replacement Cushions

A glider rocker sees late-night feeds, story time and long reads. After a few years the seat flattens and the fabric shows every spill, but the frame is usually fine. We make new seat, back and arm-pad cushions to the measurements of the glider you already own, whatever brand it is.

Quick answer

Glider rocker replacement cushions: the short answer

Fabrica Kraft makes custom glider rocker cushions from your measurements, for any brand of glider. Seat cushions use firm or medium foam, back cushions can use our Super Soft foam, and every cover has a zipper so it can come off for cleaning. Curved or shaped backs are made from a paper template.

Measuring

How do I measure a glider with a curved back?

Seat: measure width at the front and at the back, then depth from front edge to the backrest. Many glider seats are wider at the front.
Back: measure height from the seat to the top, and width at the top, middle and bottom.
Curves: if the top of the back is arched or the sides flare, trace the old cushion on paper and send us the template.
Thickness: measure the old cushion at its thickest point, then decide whether you want it fuller.

Our measuring guide walks through each step. For template orders, email care@fabricakraft.com first and we will tell you what to send.

Ties

Where should the ties go?

Look at how the old cushions attach. Most glider backs tie to the frame near the top corners, and some seats tie at the back corners as well. Note each tie point and we will sew matching-fabric ties in the same places. If your glider uses hook-and-loop strips instead, ask for Velcro.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you make cushions for any brand of glider?

Yes. We work from your measurements, not a catalog, so the brand does not matter. Shaped backs are made from a paper template you trace.

Which foam is best for a nursery glider seat?

HD36-R gives a medium feel that most people find comfortable for long sits. Lux-R is firmer. A Dacron wrap softens the top of either.

Can the back be softer than the seat?

Yes. Super Soft foam is made for back cushions and gives a plush feel. We do not use it in seats because it would flatten too quickly.

Are the covers removable for cleaning?

Yes. Every cover has a zipper, so you can take it off and clean it according to the fabric's care instructions.

How long does it take?

Standard shapes take 2–3 weeks. Shaped backs made from a template take 5–6 weeks.
