The cushion that comes with an egg chair is often thin and quick to fade. We make egg chair cushions to the shape and size of your chair, so the cushion fills the bowl without gaps. How to measure an egg chair

• Measure the widest point across the seat and the depth from front to back.
• For a one-piece cushion, also measure from the seat up to the top of the back.
• Trace the old cushion on paper, or lay a string around the inside edge of the chair.
• Send a photo of the chair or the paper template with a tape measure in the frame. Egg chairs vary a lot, so a template helps us match the shape.

Cushions are cut to within ±0.5″ of the size you order. If the shape is unusual, contact us and we will confirm the details before we cut.

Choosing foam and thickness

Standard thickness is 3″ to 5″, and we cut up to 8″. For a hanging chair that stays outside, choose Dry Fast foam. Its open cells let rain drain straight through, so the cushion dries quickly. For an indoor chair, High Density foam has a medium feel. Super Soft foam is for back cushions only, never seats, and fiber fill suits a loose back cushion. A 1″ Dacron wrap gives a fuller, rounder look. All foam is CertiPUR-US certified and cut in the USA.

Fabrics for egg chairs

Sunbrella is solution-dyed, so it resists fading in full sun, and it comes in 160+ colors. For indoor chairs, choose Warwick or velvet. Piping is optional, and ties in matching fabric are standard, with Velcro on request. Order swatches to see colors in your own light.

Foam only, cover only, or both

Order the complete cushion, a zippered cover only if your foam still has shape, or foam only cut to size. Every cover has a zipper.
