Piano Bench Cushions

A piano bench cushion should look like it came with the bench. We make piano bench cushions to the exact width and depth of your bench top, including rounded corners, so the pad sits flush with the edges. There is no minimum order, and one cushion is as welcome as ten.

How to measure a piano bench

• Measure the width and depth of the bench top, edge to edge.
• If the corners are rounded, note where the curve starts on each side, or trace the top on paper and send a photo.
• On a storage bench with a lift-up lid, measure the lid only.
• Measure the height you sit at now, so you can choose a thickness that suits you.

Cushions are cut to within ±0.5″ of the size you order.

Choosing foam and thickness

For a piano bench, choose Luxury foam. It is firm, stays supportive in a thin pad, and suits seats from 1″ to 3″ thick. A thicker cushion raises your seat and changes how you reach the keys, so think about your playing height before you order. Our standard range is 3″ to 5″, up to 8″. A 1″ Dacron wrap softens the edge. All foam is CertiPUR-US certified and cut in the USA.

Fabrics and ties

Velvet suits a traditional piano, and Warwick upholstery is made for indoor furniture and is in stock. Faux leather gives a classic look. Piping is optional. Ties in matching fabric are standard, and Velcro is available on request. We do not use non-slip backing. Order swatches to compare colors next to your piano.

Foam only, cover only, or both

Order the complete cushion, a zippered cover only to refresh a pad you already own, or foam only cut to size. Every cover has a zipper.

Piano bench cushions ship in 2–3 weeks, with free shipping. Rush production and express shipping are available at extra cost. Equipping a music school, studio or venue? Send us a bulk enquiry. Fabric carries a 5-year warranty from the fabric maker, and our workmanship is covered for 2 years. See our warranty page for details.
