Custom Dog Beds & Crate Pads

Store-bought dog beds come in a handful of sizes, and your dog or your crate may fall between them. We make custom dog beds and crate pads to the exact size you need, with foam cut to size and a zippered cover in the fabric you choose. There is no minimum order, so order one bed or a bed for every room.

Start with the pet bed cushion builder. For a big, relaxed floor bed, try the floor cushion. Round beds? Use the round cushion builder. When the cover is worn but the foam is good, order covers only. How to size a dog bed or crate pad

• For a bed, measure your dog lying down and stretched out, nose to the base of the tail. Add a few inches so your dog can stretch.
• For a crate pad, measure the inside floor of the crate, length and width.
• Take a little off each side so the pad lies flat and does not ride up the walls.
• Order by the largest dog in a multi-dog household, or make one bed per dog.

Everything is cut to within ±0.5″ of the size you order.

Choosing foam and thickness

Standard thickness is 3″ to 5″, and we cut up to 8″. Email operation@fabricakraft.com for anything thicker. High Density foam has a medium feel for everyday use. If the bed lives on a porch or in a wet mudroom, Dry Fast foam has open cells that drain and dry quickly. A 1″ Dacron wrap gives the edges a softer look. Super Soft foam is for back cushions only, so we do not recommend it for beds. All foam is CertiPUR-US certified and cut in the USA.

Fabrics for dog beds

Sunbrella is a strong choice for muddy paws and sunny windows. It is solution-dyed, fade resistant and comes in 160+ colors. Indoors, Warwick and velvet feel softer. Every cover has a zipper, so it comes off for washing. Follow the fabric maker's care instructions. Order swatches to check colors against your floors.

Foam only, cover only, or both

Order the complete bed, a spare cover so you always have a clean one, or foam only cut to fit a bed you already own.
