Lumbar cushions don't come in one standard size. These are the sizes most people order, but you can enter any width and length in the builder.

One long lumbar in front of your sleeping scatter cushions finishes a bed. Go a few inches narrower than the mattress: about 36″ for a queen and 40″ or more for a king.
Put a 12″ × 20″ or 14″ × 24″ lumbar in front of two 20″ to 22″ squares, or one long lumbar across a deep sofa. Match it to your couch cushions for a set.

For a plump, full look, order the insert about 1″ larger than the cover in each direction. If you order both from us, enter the cover size and we'll size the insert to match.

What size is a lumbar pillow?
There's no single standard. The most common sizes are 12″ × 20″ and 14″ × 24″ for sofas and chairs, and 12″ × 36″ to 14″ × 36″ for beds and benches. We make any size you need.
What size lumbar scatter cushion fits a queen or king bed?
About 36″ long suits a queen bed. For a king, 40″ or longer looks more balanced. Keep it a few inches narrower than the mattress.
Can I order just the lumbar cushion cover?
Yes. Choose cover only in the builder and enter the size of the insert you already have.
Can lumbar cushions go outside?
Yes, if you choose a Sunbrella cover, which resists fading and mildew. Bring the scatter cushion in during long spells of rain so the fill can dry out.
Can I match a lumbar scatter cushion to my cushions?
Yes. Choose the same fabric in the scatter cushion builder and we'll sew it to the size you need.
How do I wash a lumbar cushion cover?
You can machine wash Sunbrella covers on a cold, delicate cycle with mild detergent, then air dry them. Vacuum Warwick and spot clean it with mild soap and water. Velvet needs professional cleaning.
