About this collection
Quick answer Extra wide curtains are single panels wider than the usual 50–54″, for picture windows, bay windows and patio doors. We make panels up to 120″ wide each. Our Warwick sheers are double-width fabric, about 126″ (320 cm), so sheer panels up to 120″ have no seam. Drapery panels wider than 52″ are joined with a neat center seam.

Covering a wide window with standard panels means buying three, four or more and hoping they meet. Extra wide curtains cover the same window with fewer panels, so they open and close more easily and look cleaner when drawn. Every Fabrica Kraft panel is cut to your width, from 10″ to 120″, and any drop up to 144″.

Seamless extra wide sheer curtains

Our Warwick sheers come in four collections and 53 colors: Antigua, Patio, Syros and Taormina. Because the fabric is about 126″ wide, every sheer panel up to our 120″ maximum is cut from one piece, so there's no seam line catching the light across a big window.

Wide drapery and blackout panels

Warwick printed drapery (Twiggy, Zeppelin and Hendrix) can be made extra wide with optional 100% blackout lining. Panels wider than 52″ are joined with a center seam that sits in the folds. Layer them in front of sheers on a double rod for daylight and darkness. See custom blackout curtains.

Where extra wide curtains work best

  • Picture windows and window walls
  • Bay windows and corner windows, measured section by section
  • Sliding glass doors and French doors
  • Room dividers and alcoves

How wide should your curtains be?

For a full look, panels together should be about 1.5–2× the rod width. Our curtain measuring guide and curtain size calculator help you work out the numbers, and you can build curtains in the curtain builder or the pinch pleat builder.

Questions about extra wide curtains

How wide can a single curtain panel be?

Up to 120″ wide per panel.

Will an extra wide curtain have a seam?

Sheer panels up to 120″ have no seam, because the Warwick sheer fabric is about 126″ wide. Drapery panels wider than 52″ have one center seam.

Are extra wide sheer curtains good for privacy?

During the day, sheers blur the view into your room while letting light in. At night with lights on, people can see shapes through them, so layer them with blackout panels if you need night privacy.

Is one wide panel better than several narrow ones?

Fewer, wider panels look cleaner and are easier to open and close. Several narrower panels can be easier to handle on very large windows. Either way, we make them to your size.

How long do extra wide curtains take?

Each order is made in 2–3 weeks, with free US shipping.
