Pottery Barn Sofa Cushion Replacement

A well-made sofa frame can last for many years, but the seat cushions that carry the daily load usually soften well before then. If your Pottery Barn sofa or sectional still looks right in the room but sits lower than it used to, new cushions or new foam made to its measurements can restore the shape without replacing the whole piece.

Cushions for Pottery Barn sofa collections

We make cushions to the measurements of your own sofa, so they fit any Pottery Barn collection, current or retired. Owners most often ask about:

PB Comfort: roll arm and square arm sofas, loveseats and sectionals
York: deep seats that soften at the front edge first
Pearce: tailored cushions that need a crisp edge
Turner: seats, backs, covers or foam only
PB Basic and other lines: send your measurements and we cut to them

Pottery Barn's own replacement program mainly covers current outdoor collections. For indoor sofas, custom cushions or new foam made to your measurements are usually the practical route.

What we make for Pottery Barn sofas

Matching scatter cushions
Feel

How do I get back the original sit, or change it?

Start with how you want the sofa to feel. If the old seat felt plush and sinks too far now, HD36-R with a Dacron wrap brings back the softness with better support. If you would rather sit more upright, Lux-R is the firmer choice. Back cushions can be softer than seats: Super Soft foam gives a relaxed lean, and we only use it for backs, never seats.

If you are unsure, replace one seat cushion first. There is no minimum order, so you can test the feel before doing the rest.

Fabric

Can I change the fabric to suit my sofa base?

Yes. Many people keep the sofa base and refresh only the cushions, or pick a new colour for both. Order swatches and hold them against the base in daylight and lamplight. For homes with pets or children, Warwick and Sunbrella performance fabrics are easy to live with; velvet and faux leather change the look completely. We do not offer genuine leather, but Ultraleather gives a soft, leather-like finish.

Measuring

How to measure Pottery Barn sofa cushions

Measure the foam, not the cover: width, depth and thickness.
Seat cushions on sectionals often differ in size; measure each one.
Note T-shaped front corners on arm cushions; our T-cushion builder handles those.
Measure back cushions separately from seats.
How it works

Order in three steps

1

Measure every seat and back cushion: width, depth and thickness, and note any T-shaped fronts. Our measuring guide shows how.

2

Choose fabric and foam in the builder, or order a swatch first.

3

We cut to within ±13 mm of your sizes and remake free if we miss. See our fit guarantee.
