Measuring

How to measure banquette back cushions

Width: measure each straight run of wall. Long runs are easier to handle in two or three back cushions than one.

Height: measure from the top of the seat cushion to where you want the top edge of the back to sit.

Thickness: every inch of back cushion takes an inch off the seat depth, so check the seat is still deep enough once the backs are in.

Choices

Fill, fabric and fixing

Super Soft foam: soft and supportive, made for back cushions only (never seats).
Foam with a Dacron wrap: a fuller, rounded look with neat edges.
Easy-clean fabrics: faux leather and Ultraleather wipe clean; Sunbrella is stain resistant and machine washable; Warwick and velvet give a softer look.
Keeping backs in place: ties in matching fabric are standard and work wherever there is a frame or rail to tie to. Velcro is available on request.
Matching seats: order the seat cushions in the same fabric. Corners can be one L-shaped seat with a separate back cushion for each wall.

Questions about banquette backs

How thick should banquette back cushions be?

It depends on your seat depth. Measure the seat from the wall to the front edge, then take away the back cushion thickness. What is left is how deep the seat will feel.

Can I order back cushions only, to go with my existing seats?

Yes. There is no minimum order. Order a swatch first if you are matching an existing colour.

Are the covers removable?

Yes. Every cover has a zipper, so it comes off for cleaning.

How long does it take?

Standard shapes ship in 2–3 weeks. Custom shapes made from a template take 5–6 weeks.
