Yes. Even under a roof, a verandah gets sun, damp air and blowing rain. Indoor fabric fades and mildews quickly; solution-dyed outdoor fabric doesn't.
How do you hang curtains on a verandah?
Mount a rod or cable across the top of each opening, just under the beam or ceiling, and use tab top, back tab or rod pocket panels. Add tiebacks to the columns.
What colour verandah curtains look best?
Whites and naturals look clean against most houses and keep the verandah bright. Pick up a trim or shutter colour for something bolder, and order swatches to check them in your light.
Can I add privacy without losing light?
